The design of the hotel lobby and public spaces reflect the lights and shadows of coastal waters to create a truly grand introduction to the accommodating InterContinental lifestyle. The hotel design is inspired by Kaohsiung's harbor imagery and ocean backdrop, symbolizing the interconnectedness of all the world’s continents. The visual imagery evokes the mystery and abundance of the ocean, from its depths up to the horizon.

BL.T33, an abbreviation of bar, lounge, tea, and No.33, Xinguang Rd. the address of InterContinental Kaohsiung, is a new dining destination where the east meets the west in the harbor city of southern Taiwan. As the central and most striking element of the hotel lobby, the glass bar tower soars from the bar to the ceiling, the dining atmosphere is fully merged with the reception and lounging area of the lobby, thus creating a constant bustling energy flow throughout the lobby experience.
