Building Facade
INFO

The primary design concept of MESS stems from the full character embodiment of the head chef, Shahaf Shabtay. As the culinary concept backbone for the restaurant, Chef Shahaf is the anchor of a coherent experience that intertwines his origin, his travels, and his culinary explorations, namely Middle Eastern, Asian, and European. Collage is at the essence of the interior, while these different cultures coexist, each retains its unique and different characteristics. A new story is told through the connection of all the different components.

Entrance Lounge

The aesthetic of the restaurant is all about back to the basic materials from Middle Eastern desert chic to Eastern minimalist Zen to classic European refinement. The space creates a serene and welcoming backdrop for the exciting culinary experience to come.

Tree Lights

The layout of the restaurant is divided into 5 zones over two floors, a groovy reception lounge upon entering the restaurant, an open kitchen facing the main dining hall with a double-height connection to the second floor, a main bar area with counter seating, and DJ booth, an open dessert bar on the second floor with outdoor drink terrace and a private dining room.

Upper Dining Area

“Tree of lights” which spans the double-height space is at the heart of the restaurant, not only connecting the ambiance and energy, it also creates an ever-dashing visual treat for the guests to enjoy. Unique to Chef Shahaf’s modern culinary approach, one that does not define the kitchen’s orientation through geographical areas, a personal kitchen center around the diners is created. To accommodate this phenomenon, oversized tables are provided throughout the restaurant as Chef Shahaf focuses on dishes served at the center of the table for a unique shared experience.
